TrinamiX developed a highly secured face authentication behind OLED
Published Date: February 19, 2022 |TrinamiX, a subsidiary firm of BASF SE in Germany, developed a highly secured face authentication, recently. The company says it is the world’s first face authentication to fulfill the highest biometric security demand. It is certified to be spoof-proof on the back of OLED according to top standards defined by Android TM and FIDO® Alliance.
Nowadays, every smartphone has a face authentication system to unlock the screen easily. Compared to passwords, PINs, or fingerprints, it is the most convenient solution rapidly gaining popularity among consumers. Nevertheless, these systems can be cracked by using a 3D model of one’s face or finger. TrinamiX has developed a unique face authentication solution which more secure than others and fulfills the security standard of FIDO and Andriod TM.
TrinamiX added a skin detection technology in its face authentication solution which makes it more secure. The technology analyzes the object at the time of verifying the user identity, whether it is a skin or other material. In this regard, it serves as a new way to check liveliness without any active user contribution. Recognizing the value of success, Trinamix has already patented the underlying technology beam profile analysis.
Stefan Metz, Director of the 3D Imaging Business, said, “Our goal is to give smartphone brands a greater freedom of design and to allow for sleek, maximum display designs”. Face authentication is a very common feature of the present generation smartphones, but they generally obfuscate the functionality of common face authentication. At TrinamiX, we have developed a next-generation biometric authentication technology for smartphones.
